"If we shift as we age toward appreciating everyday pleasures and relationships rather than toward achieving, having, and getting, and if we find this more fulfilling, then why do we take so long to do it? " - Atul Gawande

Welcome to ReachOutToMe, a mental health resource site dedicated to providing self-care

ideas, local mental health resources, affirmations, and app recommendations to support your well-being.

Our mission is to create a supportive community where individuals can find valuable resources and inspiration for their mental health journey. This website provides easy access to informal, self-guided practices without the need to open social media.  We believe in the power of self-care and the importance of seeking professional help when needed, which is why we also include a collection of local mental health resources in addition to the free printable worksheets, and self-care ideas, suggestions, and articles.

So, what is self-care?

Self-care is about recognizing your needs and actively taking steps to meet them, ensuring that you are in the best possible state to face life’s challenges. It may sound too good to be true, but by carving out small moments throughout the day to focus on your self, you're preparing a better laid path for your future self. Self-care looks different for everyone. For some, it could be as simple as drinking enough water, or keeping a worry stone in your pocket for anxious moments. For others it may require larger life changes, such as better nutrition, an exercise regimen, or seeing a mental health professional for talk therapy or medication. â€‹

Our hope is to provide everyday self-care ideas that are easy, and simple for busy individuals to incorporate into their lives. We're not afraid to get creative or research non-conventional ways for self-care and will share evidence to support the information provided.

Self-care doesn't have to be planned, or perfect. Some days, going to the grocery store alone may be all it takes to reset.
